By purchasing any electric scooter, electric bike or personal electric mobility device (“Product”) from Scooter Bike Hub, you acknowledge, understand and agree to all terms set out below.

1. State & Territory Legal Variations

Electric mobility vehicle regulations differ significantly across every Australian State and Territory. It is your sole responsibility to research, confirm and comply with all current local road rules, power limits, maximum speed restrictions, permitted riding locations, minimum rider age, helmet requirements and equipment standards applicable within the state or territory where you operate this Product.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR NEW SOUTH WALES (NSW) CUSTOMERS: Privately owned high-powered electric scooters sold on this website are classified as motor vehicles under NSW legislation. These private e-scooters are NOT permitted for use on public roads, footpaths, shared paths or bike lanes in NSW and may only legally be operated on fully enclosed private property. Penalties including fines and device confiscation apply for unlawful public use. Approved rental trial e-scooters operated by licensed providers are governed by separate rules and do not apply to privately purchased units.

2. Product Compliance & Modifications

All Products are supplied in factory standard configuration. Any aftermarket modification including speed limit unlocking, motor tuning, battery upgrades or hardware alterations may:

• Void all manufacturer and store warranty coverage;
• Render the vehicle non-compliant with local transport regulations;
• Create severe safety hazards for the rider and third parties.

Scooter Bike Hub does not endorse, encourage or provide support for any modifications intended to exceed factory speed or power limits. Any modified use is entirely at the purchaser’s own risk.

3. Rider Safety Obligations

• Riding electric scooters contains inherent risks of falls, collision, injury or property damage.
• We strongly recommend wearing an approved safety helmet and appropriate protective gear at all times when operating the Product, regardless of local helmet laws.
• Observe safe riding practice: never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs; avoid using mobile devices while riding; do not carry passengers, pets or excessive loads.
• All riders must meet the minimum legal age requirement enforced within their jurisdiction.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under the Australian Consumer Law: Scooter Bike Hub accepts no liability for any fines, penalties, vehicle seizure, personal injury, property loss or third-party damages arising from:

• Unlawful operation of the Product on public land contrary to state transport laws;
• Failure of the purchaser to verify local legal requirements before purchase;
• Improper use, negligence, reckless riding or unapproved product modifications;
• Operating the vehicle outside the manufacturer’s recommended usage guidelines.

Nothing within this disclaimer operates to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantees that cannot be lawfully excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

5. Battery & General Operating Guidance

Follow all instructions within the product user manual for charging, storage and maintenance of lithium-ion batteries. Do not leave batteries charging unattended for extended periods. Avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold which can permanently degrade battery performance and lifespan.

6. Updates to Legislation

Transport regulations for personal electric mobility devices are subject to ongoing government review and change. It remains your ongoing responsibility to monitor amendments to local laws after your purchase. This disclaimer does not constitute legal advice.
