Scooter Bike Hub stands behind the quality of the products we supply and provides warranty protection to support customers after purchase.
All product categories include a standard 12-month warranty. For selected eligible products, customers may also purchase an Extended Warranty Plan, allowing total warranty coverage of up to 5 years depending on the product and the plan selected.
The sections below explain what is covered, what is excluded, how extended warranty options work, and how to make a claim.
1. Standard Warranty Coverage
The standard Scooter Bike Hub warranty covers eligible defects that arise from the original manufacture of the product.
Depending on the nature of the issue, covered faults may include:
-
Defects in materials or workmanship
-
Structural failure, including broken frames or welded joints
-
Electrical or mechanical component failure caused by a defect
-
Unexpected deterioration of materials that is not attributable to normal wear and tear
The standard warranty period is 12 months unless a different warranty period is specifically stated for the relevant product.
2. What Is Not Covered
Warranty protection is intended to cover genuine product defects. It does not cover damage or deterioration caused by ordinary use, external factors, misuse, or unauthorised changes.
Examples of matters that are generally excluded include:
-
Normal wear and tear: including scratches, minor dents, fading, discolouration, or gradual cosmetic deterioration
-
Accidental damage or misuse: including impacts, overloading, neglect, incorrect assembly, or use that does not follow the supplied instructions or guidelines
-
Weather or environmental damage: including damage associated with extreme temperatures, prolonged moisture, excessive humidity, UV exposure, rust, mould, or mildew
-
Consumable or wear components: including tyres, brake pads, chains, bearings, batteries, rubber grips, seat cushions, lights, charging cables and similar components, unless they were faulty when supplied
-
Unauthorised repairs or alterations: including tampering, modifications, or the installation of non-original components
-
Commercial or rental use: unless the product information expressly states that this type of use is covered
-
Complimentary accessories: free bonus items supplied with the main product are not included in this warranty
3. Extended Warranty Plans
Selected products may qualify for an optional Extended Warranty Plan.
These plans allow customers to extend the original 12-month warranty by up to an additional 4 years, providing a maximum total warranty period of up to 5 years.
What an Extended Warranty May Provide
-
Longer protection: coverage can continue for up to 4 additional years after the standard warranty period
-
Additional support: depending on the plan, available remedies may include repair, replacement or other covered services
-
Direct assistance: claims are handled through the Scooter Bike Hub customer support team
4. Extended Warranty Eligibility and Activation
Extended Warranty Plans are subject to the following conditions:
-
Purchase period: an eligible plan may be purchased together with the product or added within 30 days after the original product purchase
-
Plan pricing: the cost varies according to the product and the additional warranty period selected
-
Coverage period: extended coverage begins immediately after the original 12-month standard warranty expires
-
Maximum duration: customers may select up to 4 additional years of coverage, depending on eligibility
-
Ownership: Extended Warranty Plans are generally non-transferable and remain attached to the original purchaser
